Born from twenty-two different agencies, DHS inherited redundancy within nearly all aspects of the Department including management function, business process and information technology infrastructure. To date DHS seeks the turn-key solution that will eliminate this fragmented inheritance and enable the formation of “one DHS.”

Critical to this objective, as well as the success of the Homeland Security mission, is the implementation of a robust Enterprise IT solution. Implementing this solution will effectively coordinate and bring to bear the diverse resources and assets at the Department’s disposal.
