Managing the single largest budget within the U.S. Federal government HHS has embarked on the endeavor to eliminate its financial management inefficiencies through the implementation of the United Financial Management System (UFMS). Among others, this effort includes the integration of several of the government’s most visible agencies including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

In support of this effort Advanced Programs Group staff played key roles in this transformation effort. Advanced Programs Group continues to function in a support role with HHS, ensuring the success of ongoing operations as well as the future agency implementations.
