POC to provide information on customer satisfaction with the services performed - Bob Carney. POC for information related to the SeaPort program - Sharon Abeyta. The concept of quality assurance promotes quality throughout an initiative - beginning to end - rather than waiting to check results when the results are complete. Advanced Program Group's Quality Assurance approach is to incorporate quality assurance processes and results throughout the project. Testing is also a subset of quality assurance. Testing serves to provide evidence that application components operate as intended.
Quality assurance confirms that the processes and deliverables adhere to pre-determined, agreed-upon quality standards. In each program phase, stage and individual work stream, different quality assurance processes will be used, commensurate with the type of deliverable being reviewed and the risk associated with that deliverable. Quality will be tracked and reported through a number of processes.
Testing confirms that the design of new business processes, configurations and the development objects (deliverables and code) supporting these processes adhere to the design specification and criteria. Robust planning and testing are essential for any business transformation.
There are basic steps to implementing the Quality Assurance Plan within the project. These steps focus on the early detection of issues, risks and errors. Prior to a Quality Assurance Review taking place the team will follow Quality Assurance tasks within their day to day activities.
Each deliverable that is produced will undergo an informal quality assurance review prior to the deliverable being routed to the APG Project Manager. Quality Assurance will be put in place to ensure the required quality deliverables and outputs in an agreed timeframe and within an agreed budget. The guiding principles of Quality Assurance are that the standards and procedures described are to be adhered to by all parties and that this approach will be monitored and managed by all levels of Program Management.
